I think I hit the same problem occasionally, but I can usually keep trying different keywords until I find one that works. If he only tried 4 keywords like he writes, then there was probably some word in the email that would have been at l

The analyst quoted in the article thinks that it may just be an experiment for now. Maybe using Windows is the quickest way for them to get to market and test their product. Just because they chose Windows for this first launch doesn't me

I tried just the word "reddit" and it identified it as Portuguese as well. Maybe that's a default for unknown words.

The local coffee shop near me puts out power strips to encourage people to bring their laptops and use the unlimited free WiFi. That makes it's easy for me to support them :)

My local library is nice, but they block SSH access. That's a bigger downside than the distractions at the coffee shop next door.

Cool, checking it out now. Do you have to use the arrow for shortening? I think it can be confusing.

I think that if they went out of business you can still have control of your link mappings. They claim that you can have portability, but I guess I don't know how extensive it is. It might just be click data that is portable. At the very

I like Awe.sm's approach. You own the domain and they do the URL shortening and analytics for you. Costs $99/year. I haven't used it, but it seems like a good way to make money in that area. http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/04/its-awes

Keep it. It's cheap and if you feel at all emotionally attached then it means you may have some value for it eventually. If you're asking for outside advice then that's too much thought that you've already put into this. I've let several

What would be cool is if you could give them a link to a data set online and they would take care of tracking it's changes over time. They could poll the data every day or hour and take care of the data storage and overhead involved with a

Thanks, that does put it in perspective. I liked this part: How would we remember the war if we had been invaded and suffered the equivalent of one 9/11 per day, every day on average, from 1941 to 1945? This is what happened to our Asian

You can look at the number of clicks/views generated by each. I read once that Ashton Kutcher tweeted about a service which reported the number of visits from his tweet equated to about 3% of his follower base at the time. He probably get

My question is that if you were to collect that data, is it causation, or is it just correlation? Should you invest everything you can to get every user to 5 runs? Or is that just an effect of different levels of interest?

1) Those probes don't come back. I assume we'd have to try to get the human back to earth. That requires sending enough fuel with the ship for two launches, unless they can process fuel on Mars. 2) Manned space missions require a safety f

Yeah, I don't like mixpanel's attitude. It's like they don't even acknowledge other analytics packages and act like they're the only one that can do a funnel analysis. I don't see what their differentiation is.
