It seems like a lot of Steve Blank's articles don't get many comments here. I know that I usually read them and think "Wow, that's insightful" and I can't think of anything to add or refute. Maybe that's just me, but I'm glad they keep ge

Thanks for the follow-up. I only read the text excerpt because I didn't have time for the video. I'll see if I have time later to watch the whole thing.

Any references to "generations" are flawed and only serve as an easy way for journalists to make sweeping generalizations. Generation Y doesn't have anything to say in regards to Twitter or anything else.

I agree. I was just about to copy that same line from the article. The article title is sensationalized. I had assumed he took it from someone also with the name Paul Allen, but it was just someone who made a satirical film of the real Pa

A histogram shows a distribution of values. This just looks like a bar graph. Still useful, but I don't see how it's a histogram.

"Show and discuss your code, without emotional attachment." Not my experience. I have always had emotional attachment to my code. My love for my code is what has enabled me to grow. Passion is half the battle. I got the impression that he m

This seems to be extrapolating a lot from the original results. The study was done only on baby names. When you name a person, you have to consider the effect it will have on the person's whole life. So it makes sense to avoid names that

I tried Basecamp once for a side project, but I quickly found myself not using it. No particular reason. I just didn't feel like I got much value out of it. Trac is pretty nice because it's lightweight and is tied right into my repository
