>Native threads are much faster at context switching then green threads No, native threads have a much higher context switch overhead. The downside of green threads is the lack of parallelism, you can only use one CPU core. This is why

I am not offended due to being compared to a burning house. I am offended because I understand the comic, and it is patronizing garbage. Men suggesting that as a woman my life requires saving via sexism is what is insulting. I'm the

I am not a burning building. That is exactly the sort of patronizing garbage that creates problems.

There was no running anything involved. The position in question was "contributing editor". That is an inflated title that means "part time blogger".

Because it is written in C. "Goto statements are bad" meant: lets start using languages that offer higher level constructs to replace the current usage of goto. Things like "loops" and "functions" and "e

Craigslist at least didn't make huge efforts to lower the quality of their site over the years. Ebay went from useful to garbage almost entirely by choice.

It is partly a compiler issue, but the semantics of a language limits how fast of a compiler you can make. It doesn't really matter though, the fastest g compiler still produces slower binaries than any C compiler I can find.

Go is older, so it has had more time to gain users. And go has gained users mainly from python and ruby, not from other compiled languages. People are genuinely happy to have anything which sucks less than scripting languages but still

You can't be bothered to even look at the "wordpress blog" to see what it is, but I am the one trolling? If you have something to say, then say it. Posting just to see your name isn't productive.
