You're both right and wrong here. Firstly, there are almost never involuntary bumps. Someone will always take money. It's basic economics and it'll always work. The involuntary bumping is really only ever experienced when there is mass dela

That's actually not a good deal; again, this replies to legacy airlines. They don't refund your fare, as it's used to pay for your replacement flight, and most legacy flights are > $200 R/T. That leaves you with $200-$400, which is not

The system will never accept more than about 75% of the fare (or, potentially less). This is also a tactic employed by legacy airlines - the newer ones don't promise a seat, so you get bumped till later, no comp. So you're faced with a flig

Right. I understand the legality of it, however I was more referring to the moral case. Since a court order has to be argued for, it should also hold true that a search of an electronic data store would also require more than just plain-sig

Also, if LEOs are required to obtain a court order to read these from the network provider's archives and logs, why should that not also be true for your phone?

I don't know. When you're trying to build a team in a market where there are more jobs than qualified applicants, telling them that you have to 'rescue' an app is a turn off and won't get you anywhere. Also, when the real value within the a

I sorta disagree. Sometimes being CTO is about instituting technical leadership from scratch. There have been a couple times where i've worked with a company (as a contractor) and helped them in a CTO role. This has ended up with a need to

there's a real risk if you do this that you'll end up on the no fly. at least take a flight someplace, earn some miles and come back. Otherwise you may be seen to be performing surveillance, and that can land you in hot water.

it's a tax thing. Cash income doesn't go reported, and they offer to 'save you the tax'. no fees, no tax, under-the-table income. Happens in a surprisingly large number of establishments.

My Guess: - reduced processing fees - reduce churn from people who see multiple 37s charges per month - better revenue from customers who are ~ 75% toward plan level and want other services (most willing to upgrade).

Perhaps it's because our community is more interested in self-improvement? The argument that, "oh, this happens elsewhere, so we shouldn't give it any special attention" is moot because we're supposed to be smarter, more open and more enlig
