How do you know something is DRM free if you buy from Amazon? I'm avid reader and have not bothered to care, but it's still at the back of my mind since library is growing. Don't want to lose it on a whim.

If you run LFS long time keeping it up to date, won't it get cluttered because of incremental 'make install' or its not meant to be run as normal desktop distro? Honest question, last touched it like 15 years ago.

I chose Java for one of the microservices that leverages JTS library, which was the tool I wanted for the purpose. I wanted to use normal Java, because the thing I needed to do was very simple. It works very well. Used Micronaut by the way.

I know they used asbestos to filter beer in 20th century. Was considered safe, since it didn't get in contact with air. Obviously abandoned practice nowerdays.

When using desktop keyboard, then Ctrl key is so easy to take with your palm, this small part below pinky. Doesn't work on laptops, but this is one of the reasons to prefer normal keyboards.

But totally doable. I had a friend who traveled from Europe, through Siberia to Japan. All over Europe, Americas, went even to Africa IIRC. She's still travelling now, but with a boat and a companion. Probably been around the world man

Before the IRC were telnet chat rooms/servers for me. Nobody has mentioned them here so I wonder whether it was local thing. I remember using talk about the same time, but telnet ones had more edge in UX side.

Going bit ahead of time, since still reading the last book, but Expanse series by James S. A. Corey. It has it ups and downs, but mostly ups. I really like the pace, good balance between opening up characters and story/world building.
