author here! i think putting the unit in the header also works just fine. it's the same "ink" either way, so it comes down to particular usage. color-wise, one of the strongest reasons to not use color is the exact situat

This is definitely speaking to me — I like being able to switch between tools, depending on the project, but dislike the silos most tools (trello, google sheets / airtable, canvas / google docs / text) create around structure
