As a VIM user I find that amusing, people that use editors other than Emacs and VIM are very disloyal to their editors, I've been using VIM for years, and I'm not switching to another one... Just out of the curiosity, what editor do you use

IMHO there is a big difference between Apple and Microsoft, Bill Gates was surrounded by suits, Steve Jobs is surrounded by Engineers and Designers... I like all the guys that surround Jobs, Philip Schiller, Scott Forstall, Jonathan Ivy eve

About #1... can you work 9-5 at a tech company? Is this guy a developer? There are non-competes too so you can't build something Google is thinking on building or have you working on, also, and more importantly, most of the "successful" sta

It's cool that everyone has a JavaScript environment on their machines, but I think that if you want to learn programming downloading Python is not a problem. JavaScript is great for me when friends ask me: "Hey you know programming right?

Don't you think it's kinda silly to think these "build hype" signup processes kill products? Github did the same in fact they recommend people to do it, and they're very successful. I agree it's a little frustrating but it's the kind of fru

I heard about this book on NPR a couple of weeks ago [1]. I really don't like this biased view of ML. In summary what he said on the show was something like: At least the news shows (and news pappers, radio) gives the same information to ev

I don't see any reference to a CSS standard, for example pylint follows PEP 0008. This looks like the experience of a developer.

Maybe using Rouge? http://engineering.foursquare.com/2011/01/21/rogue-a-type-sa... Persistence IMHO doesn't have to be a very important feature in a framework, since a good one should be able to be pluggable. I use Django, but in some pro
