How do people who own houses for less than 5-10 years relocate? If I sold my house right now, the real estate agents would eat most of the 30k up (and certainly would after taxes).

Those of you who own Little Snitch...do you regularly block outgoing connections from applications you regularly use?

Judging by the github issue list there are a lot more issues with Docker.qcow2 now than before. Mostly related to Docker.qcow2 preventing docker from starting. Looks like a bad release. Hopefully 1.13.1 is soon.

Docker for Mac is a pretty terrible experience. https://github.com/docker/for-mac/issues/77 has eaten a huge chunk of time for my team and the issue has been open and known about since the beta. Yes there are

Start with the book NightWatch and a set of 10x50 astronomy binoculars. Stellarium is great because you can map out what you want to view. Get used to navigating the night sky and trying to find things yourself. Join a local astronomy club.

The runtime performance lost using ES6 features is minuscule compared to the runtime performance lost by using Node.js in the first place. If the difference in performance for the ES6 features actually matters then you have made a grave mis

It probably boils down to sugar addiction. I am often hungry but too tired/lazy to make something healthy and instead eat something that is easy to obtain (processed food that's high in sugar).

Game development has historically been very toxic. Long hours, average pay, and very high stress. Why do you recommend it?

We all have different performance requirements, but in my experience, when you actually care about the performance of CPU intensive task, child_process.fork or WebWorkers are still insufficient. Instead, sometimes you use node native module

imho, ICC is the gold standard. You can get at least a simul with a master almost everyday. The GM commentary is incredible for live tournaments, and things like ICC's Game of the Week from GM Joel Benjamin are unmatched.

The cost is insane, I randomly looked up the price to buy one locally and they run $3k to $8k.

I think about law school or an MBA at least once a week. The opportunity cost is extremely high though. It's pretty hard leaving six figures of income in a low cost of living (and the grass is always greener I'm sure).

Have you looked at Node.js backend jobs? Maybe try and take a full stack job where you do both FE and backend and slowly transition to more backend work? It worked for me. FE JS -> Fullstack JS -> Backend Node.js.

The saying is "a broken clock is right twice a day." Correctly reading and responding to market conditions is not sufficient. You have to do it continually.

I had a very similar issue with a gas leak when I was in the UK. When the owner didn't fix it I had to get a hotel and spend the next month fighting with airbnb to refund my money. Airbnb removed my review for not staying in the apartm

It's a lot more fun and technically interesting than an undergraduate degree. You also make a little bit more money, but because of the opportunity cost it takes awhile to pay for itself.

Bitbucket just doubled their price. Previously for all tiers of users you paid $1/user per month. Now you're paying at least $2/user per month and maybe $5/user per month.
