I managed to snag this one by emailing hn@ycombinator.com to transfer it to me as the nick was dormant for years.

You certainly can. You can charge for the software, and release its source under a free license. The user can choose to download the source and build it themselves, or pay for the built software (or the service).

I personally use https://github.com/ms-jpq/coq_nvim . Silly name and weird docs -- but it's the fastest completion plugin I've ever used.

This is correct. It's generally the big consultancy firms that are ... unfun workplaces.

I love it. OpenBSD is my end-game in terms of operating systems -- it's the only thing that fully fits in my head. And the lovely, not-so-serious community around it just makes it so much better. Thank you for doing this.

That's elegant; the subject field isn't used currently. However, it adds extra work for those who want all their articles in dark mode, or any specific style. I think I'll add support for this anyway. Thanks.

I'm a huge fan of Oracle's (yeah, I know right) free tier for especially this -- you can't accidentally use paid stuff without manually toggling an upgrade. It's such a relief to know that you can mess around with things

I love Go to bits, but I really don't like how so many tools revolve around codegen and boilerplate. Look at Kubernetes for example: you can't write an operator without generating a bunch of boilerplate.

It is as inbound as it is outbound. If the users don't get the article they saved delivered, then there's no point is there? ;) But yeah, I'd really like to switch to running my own mail server and not have to use Mailgun. Ma

OpenSMTPD and a small Go program I wrote: https://github.com/forlater-email/mdawh . Reads mail from stdin and sends a webhook to the mail processing/sending service.

I'm using https://github.com/go-shiori/go-readability -- a Go re-implementation of Mozilla's readability-js library. It does a pretty good job.

Neat, didn't know something like this existed. They appear to have a restriction of 20 saves per month on the free plan, though. forlater doesn't, and will never, have a premium plan. :)

Hey HN. I decided to build forlater.email after frustration with existing read-later services. They all want me to create an account, or install an app. Somewhat inspired by rss2email, I decided to build forlater -- a bookmarking/read-

I was considering adding the ability to specify /when/ you want the email delivered -- something like a weekly/whenever-ly newsletter, curated by yourself.
