Can’t recommend Migadu enough. Rock solid service with excellent support. Happy customer for about 3 years now—not once have I been sent to spam.

Interesting that you use Nim. How do you use it & what exactly do you use it for?

Doesn't Docker also do something similar at ~/.docker? This isn't all too egregious as long as the permissions are set to allow only the current user to rw it.

I would think otherwise, actually. Go seems to be the most popular choice at startups—anecdotally, of course. I have no data to back this, just what I’ve seen.

It’s bit of both. The newer companies (startups mostly) are quite like US/EU companies—if not better in some cases. Excellent pay, great benefits etc. The older, more established “MNCs” (think Adobe, AMD, Intel, Goldman Sachs) are slig

I’m currently using IglooIRC + ZNC push module ( https://github.com/jreese/znc-push ). Works decently well.

Can someone ELI5 how this works? I understand it's sending requests to some API on some server, but what I don't get is how the car receives these commands. What does the entire end-to-end network look like?

I remember Lemmy’s devs being adamant on having a hard-coded slur filter ( https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/622 ). I think it’s been resolved now — not a great way to go about it though.

What bums me the most is that I can’t wrap gemtext at my desired line length. I hate having to write “long lines” in my editor and prefer ‘gqip’ing them to 72 (that’s Vim for hard wrapping selected text). Terrible choice.

My Kindle has been on airplane mode from the second I unboxed it and turned it on -- waiting for this very moment. But yes, get someone to put it on airplane mode?

This is great. I recently got a new KT4 running 5.14.1 which didn’t have a working jailbreak at the time. I know what I’m doing with my Sunday. ;)

Gotcha. One thing that I really liked about Zig is its effortless interop with C. How does Hare compare in that regard?

How does this compare to Zig? They seem to share the same problem space.

As someone who's only recently made the switch from OpenBSD to NixOS due to work needing Linux, I have some thoughts on this. OpenBSD is very easy to reason about -- not too many things going on, and every little thing is documented. T

30L for 10 years is not very competitive I'm afraid. I know of companies paying 20L cash + equity for ~1 year of experience. You should be looking for a lot more.

Somewhat dissapointed by your process. I applied, had a chat with your recruiter who asked me to suggest times for a technical interview (she even claimed the hiring manager was very impressed by my resume); I emailed my availability, but g
