Careful with that if you are based in Europe, 20 is not enough for some countries.

Does this take into account inflation? It could be that they are actually decreasing with inflation. I don't think it's like that but I'm just curious.

I really like yours but is there any reason why you don't add more elements to the page (icons, images, different text sizes)?

Thank you for being so clear (and open) about it, makes me want to try it and maybe transfer everything there. I have a quick repair only. If you see your site with Chrome on Windows 7, there's something about the text that doesn't feel rig

Sorry for asking this under such a nice idea but what happens to those who have domains with a company that goes out of business?

Double-clicking also works as explained in the article: "Double-click any tab heading to collapse the ribbon so that it looks indistinguishable from a traditional menu bar."

Can't be a Windows thing since it's been like that for so long I can't even remember (Windows 3.1 maybe?).

While I completely agree with your point, I have to mention Facebook app is not the best example. It's slow/sluggish and buggy every now and then. I still prefer it to the one on the TouchPad but wish it was more reliable.

On the upside you have the amazing breadcrumbs... I do prefer Windows 7's explorer to any other version before.

Now that you say it, maybe there is no difference between selecting one or the other? Well, there's at least one difference, some sites add a certain amount if you pay by credit card, right?

Or maybe we should think twice about saying things like "your kids are being killed at school". I am open to suggestions but I have never heard about a book causing mayhem in a couple of minutes.

It's almost like that but times have changed. In 1938 it was mainly a broadcast of a message which then wasn't easy to broadcast again by the people. Nowadays you broadcast something and in a couple of minutes it can reach the whole country

I completely understand what you are saying but I have my doubts having a design centralization is the way to go. We see now that OSX is getting closer and closer to iOS thus getting OSX less usable and discoverable (try to use Finder only

You don't fancy Metro UI? It's easy to say Microsoft is this or that but in the end we are talking about a big company with many things going on. Windows Phone 7 is good, as is Xbox, and these came from the same company that does some other

A more web-ish example: a static jpg banner with 900x400 was 46KB and got compressed into 35KB (reduction of 1.3x). Another similiar banner with 43KB resulted in a compressed 29KB (1.5x smaller). This is very good!

I'd guess most Microsoft apps have hundreds of buttons as well. 99% of them are not shown by default but you can customise it to your own taste, that's why there are so many of them.
