This is a very bold claim. Do you have reliable sources to back it?

Where do you live where the government does not have your basic information - name & date of birth? You're being unreasonably paranoid IMO.

A government API / website to do the verification can work similar to OpenID - the end application doesn't know any PII, receiving a JWT with some basic info (name, age email) instead. Just something on top of my head, I'm su

I guess the market isn't there because most of the devices kinda suck. They are bulky and ugly, glasses compatibility is not 100%, some people still get vertigo. Those devices are not attractive to the buyers at all IMO. I'm kinda

I've paid with my card though. It's possible to refund those, and PayPal. It's a very sudden move on the Mullvad part that impacts a lot of their customers. If the torrent speed drops down as much as I think it will I won

I agree with you! The new logo looks outright predatory. I liked the old one more.

It's still quite bizzare to me. The theme park employees are working for the employer too, just like the waiters and barmen working for the establishment. Going out for drinks with friends or for a dinner date is an experience, how co

Are you comparing dining at a restaurant to grocery shopping? The tips are an american issue as far as I can tell. The rest of the world has no mandatory tips and manages just fine.

Why is this downvoted? Telegram is IMO the best alternative to WhatsApp. It has a much better UX than Signal, more desirable features, not to mention more users and channels. There is an on-demand E2E encryption for those who want it. Pavel

This looks kinda cool, but feels half-baked. The demo components on the main page don't work well in Safari - the color picker has troubles with detecting mouse coordinates, and the slider does not work at all. Not sure what the "

Hard disagree. Answers to real life problems from real human beings will be much more valuable in the age of generative “ai”. No hallucinations, no dubious sources, no bullshit. Just humans helping other humans. I am looking forward to the

If this convention can be used in React, what is the "no-framework framework"? What's the point? React is not "just one extra param". One thing it does and your "no-framework framework" does not is figurin

This is not serious, right? It's a no-framework framework (what?) to build purely-functional UIs using pure-ish (what?) components. The "why" section doesn't answer the question of "why" though - it briefly men

Does Privacy Policy even matter? It feels like those walls of texts are a kind of "privacy theater" to show users that the company has their shit together. I'm wondering how many Privacy Policies are read by at least on emplo

A have a 2016 Mazda3. The infotainment is useless, so I just leave it on the home page usually. I've ordered a CarPlay retrofit that uses the stock screen, wondering if the enabling/disabling behaviour will be the same it CarPlay.

The only saving grace of those is the ease of cleaning spills. Otherwise I completely agree with you and GP - how annoying it is that every physical button is now a clunky touch surface!

It's different because of it's a aprils fools joke I guess? Feels off to me - the password-protected playbooks, the empty git repo, and the timing is suspicious. If so, it's a weird prank. Where's the punchline?
