You sort of answered your own question. Yes, there are people who are smart but poor. But they are significantly outnumbered by those who are poor but don't have great financial/investment sense. Since there isn't really a g

Agreed. I believe technology as a whole is light-years ahead of where it would be if companies treated all of their findings and system designs as closely-guarded secrets. I am relatively early in my career and I get to open-source a projec

It would be difficult to allow people to actually do what makes them happiest vs doing what the can do to make themselves happy within the limitations of their life situations.

My girlfriend went on a 10 day retreat earlier this year. She said that for much of the time there is literally nothing to do other than think. You are forced to acknowledge and confront the thoughts you have as a result of past experience

They were making the argument that the headline shouldn't use an intentionally misleading word when there is a much better suited word that accurately and clearly conveys the meaning. Using a "technically correct" word isn&#x

The article fails to mention why the smoke point matters. Is it something you want to avoid?

I'm confused on why everyone is focusing on this so much. It matters on interest-based loans because a higher APR means you are going to pay more in X amount of time. But here you are paying a flat fee, regardless of the amount of tim
