This is a really interesting and logical move for FB, to integrate as a tangential add-on with something transactional like phone calls, (instead of just being a destination website / app).

From http://llvm.org/docs/DeveloperPolicy.html#license : "LLVM’s license is not a “copyleft” license like the GPL." Rights to copy the source is not what copyleft means.

It doesn't get that far. I type in my email, press the button and "Please enter a valid email address." appears. Not sure why I've been downvoted for the previous comment, your validator really is broken. 6 alpha chars @

This is an excellent article but one of its main achievements is to make Ruby work like PHP (swallowing nil errors). The difference between try and Eventually isn't just that try is on every Object, but that the calling code gets to de

Based on a 2-sec look at the code, it's using a built-in database of trigrams as a predictor of the language. https://github.com/wooorm/franc/blob/master/lib/data.json

Excellent landing page design, but judging by the YT video there's a lot to be done before they can match it with the actual product.

It sounds like you don't like that the email is part of the company's marketing. But wouldn't it be crazy if they sent such an email without making it part of their marketing? Also, there is differentiation, and explanation o

I think the root of the problem is that the drivers are contractors not employees, so have fewer rights. And that's at the heart of the idea behind the sharing economy, that independent individuals with a resource can offer that resour

Uber must have a lot of drivers if "Arman, an Uber driver in LA" isn't specific enough to be identified. It would be tragically ironic if this article resulted in his being 'deactivated'.

It's an interesting article, but those conclusions seem so weak to me; little more than formalised common sense. Maybe the training you had did a better job of making them tangible.

I wonder if you could turn his work into a preprocessor, so you could just compile a more general source code into a Pixma binary :)

That's a good find but I'm not suggesting they wrap npm, but that they fork it. I don't think this comment explains why they couldn't fork their spangly new system from a robust existing one.

Why start from scratch? Seems like reinventing the wheel to start from a blank slate rather than forking npm etc. I guess forking doesn't get you to the top of HN though.

StackOverflow unicoins are sort of fine with me because I can still use the site. But up until midday php.net was rotating every single documentation page which was hyper-annoying.
