Isn’t polling one of the features that Reddit doesn’t provide an API for? I think that would skew poll results heavily. I know Apollo can’t do polls and it’s one of the reasons I never partake in them on Reddit.

My comment wasn’t about brigading. It was about manipulating the vote count which spez has done in the past. Others have noticed this throttling or editing as well: https://old.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/

Based on other comments, it appears that there is a lot of vote manipulation happening on the CEO’s comments. Still in the negative, but they are being capped after some time.

I see every small UBI study as a move to make the idea of UBI more acceptable rather than a study to prove the effectiveness of UBI. In my opinion, these kinds of small steps are needed because gaining political momentum is the hardest thin

Pretty sure it was turned into a manual process shortly before this API change. A few weeks ago, I had gotten a message from a Reddit admin to sign up for dev API access in what seemed like a manual process. I assume I was messaged because

I would posit that google has determined that it’s more profitable to keep viewers on YouTube via controlling the viewing experience vs whatever additional ad revenue they’d gain by making videos more easily indexable. I’m basing this hypot

Many years ago, I used to love using a journaling app called Heyday. That was until the creator closed up shop without notice and suddenly every user lost all of their data. Even paying ones.[1] There was no way for users to export their da

Cool concept but unusable for me due to the shortened right shift key. I dislike how so many custom keyboards like cutting that key to save a tiny bit of space. To me, it ruins the ergonomics and feels like it’s placing form over function.

I posit that that would make a huge difference in the public. Most people I know, both technical and non-technical, don’t realize such nuances until put in direct laymen’s terms when seeing anything legal related. It’s why companies use dar

Another reason is the belief that there is a level of safety that comes with living with others in the same culture/religion/etc. not saying that it works out in practice, but it is something that holds some sway.

The last time I tried, which was a while back, two things that bothered me: - there was no way to make CMD/CTRL+T open a new tab in the same container context as the one you were currently in. To me, this seems like an obvious UX flaw.

Felt the same exact way. I’ve tried multiple times to give Firefox containers a try, but the UX is just horribly designed. So much so that I don’t think they even care about it as a feature. It feels more like a publicity stunt. If a browse
