This book was really helpful for me. It broke down how to structure tests, what results in brittle tests, what to avoid to keep tests maintainable. I believe it answers most of your questions. Software Engineering at Google, Chapters 11-

I got Carpal tunnel last year when I was putting in too many hours(60+) for several months. Switching to a Kinesis Advantage Pro keyboard and a RollerMouse Red worked for me. I tried other ergonomic mice (including Evoluent and Anker) and
