I think I can do that with having an action for each player that passes if they don't have any money. The tricky bit is implementing the ante logic to only add n-1 coins to the pot, but I have an idea on how to hardcode that. After tha

This problem has a deep connection to formal methods: one of the first formal models of concurrent computing was Petri nets, which are equivalent to VASes. Petri nets are very limited in what they can model, and so finding reachability ev

To nitpick: that's not a comment from a mod. Posts speaking from a position of mod will have [sysop] next to the title. It's part of a "hats system", which more generally allows people to speak as representative of som

The GP had a few misconceptions about Godel and halting problems and stuff, but one nitpick here: >> Practically, this means that there will never be a compiler that will tell you whether you program has a bug. > > TLA+ and othe

Also we have pretty strong evidence that, at least in the observable part of the universe, almost all visible matter is regular matter.

I haven't tried this in Rak proper, but based on my understanding of the README you can do something like the following: rak '{so one ["foo1", "foo2", "foo3"].map(-> \x{$_.contains(x)})}'

The article was about postscript, but the comment I was replying to was about how to approximate a circle in Inkscape, so I suggested a better approach.

All the more reason to use SVGs! SVG has <circle> and <ellipse> elements.

Or just use the ellipse (E) in Inkscape, set the start/end to 0, and hold down ctrl. Then inkscape will generate a `<circle>` svg element.

Upgrade to v2 if you haven't yet! It was just released earlier this year and makes the language a lot less ugly. No more command/function divisions, everything's just a function!

Part of the problem IMO is that AHKv2 is magnitudes better if you're a programmer , because it makes the entire language consistent and sane. But if most users aren't programmers, so they don't have the same burning incentiv

Couple of ways to tell 1. Do your multiline hotkeys have `Return` in them, or are they in braces? 2. Do you write `Send Foo` or `Send "Foo"`? If you're doing the former, then I really recommend upgrading to v2, it makes a hug

That's one of the things I do in the codebase, though more configurable (so you can have multiple note categories). The change is something like Run (A_WorkingDir . "\Config\Notes\" . this.NoteType . ".txt")

Love how many people are telling you "don't use powershell" instead of actually helping. Some tips: - Powershell isn't case sensitive. Typing `ConvertTo-Json` is annoying, but you can write `convertto-json` instead. - `a

A couple people already pointed out that you can write `breakpoint()` instead of using `pdb.set_trace()`. Here's one more trick: you can use `pdb` to run scripts! `python -m pdb foo.py` will run `foo.py` but trigger a breakpoint on the

It comes in handy sometimes. It's most useful when you know what algorithm you want to implement, but have to do it in a language you don't know too well. Like if I have to do something in Rust or JavaScript.

ALGOL was supposed to be this, but then people kept on making extensions to make it compilable.
