The issue is that people are able to be targeted with surgical precision because of mass data collection. Banning political ads is just a half ass treatment of the effect. And sociopath Zuck doesn’t even see the need to do that.

They actually do have lots of sales. Rivian is making a “skate” that is everything but the body of the car. Bolt on the body and you have an EV. Amazon and Ford have made large orders.

The Taycan is a dreadful EV. Inferior to the Model S in nearly every way and at double the cost.

Three words. Income Sharing Agreement. Banks and insurance agencies have already calculated what a degree at a particular college is worth. People just tend to get really butt hurt when they see that a degree in Tuba Performance from NYU is

There is plenty of housing. Normal market dynamics here are totally fucked because of the rent stabilization, rent regulation, and short term rental companies such as Airbnb. Last I looked nearly half the apartments were in one of those thr

I agree that everyone should watch and judge for themselves. But I had a completely different reaction. To me it feels like a survey driven TV show devoid of compelling story or character development. As if they wrote every scene of every e

I could live with all the limitations of Linux and Proton but I can’t live without the anti cheat. It is the single biggest roadblock for gaming on Linux right now.

Just because people are saying it doesn’t make it true. It doesn’t even make sense as a thickening agent. It’s not more valuable if it’s thicker and it becomes more difficult to handle and to fill cartridges. It’s used to water down the pro

There have been fewer than 50 deaths attributed to vaping. It shouldn’t even make the top 1,000 list of things to bother worrying about.

The total amounts awarded to each company still differ by nearly $2 billion. I cannot imagine how much more Boeing would cost if they weren’t forced to compete with SpaceX. I wonder how much further along SpaceX might be if they were able

As you said that was a recovered capsule from an ocean landing that they were testing. SpaceX will not be using recovered capsules for crewed missions. To be fair they have not stated why it exploded. If it was damage during landing or retr

That’s an oversimplification. The Facebook API had a gaping hole in it that allowed third party apps to access data on the authorized user AND friends. Facebook discovers these kind of issues on a regular basis. The idea that they’ve clamp

The author tosses around some strong and unfounded accusations but my takeaway was that this accounting practice is ethical but risky. Case in point... Boeing isn't manufacturing or selling the 737-MAX as of this moment. If their acc

I can't believe Boeing has been able to get away with the 737-MAX. It is a unique plane with unique flight characteristics running a complex software simulation so that it "feels" like an existing plane. It's an abomin
