There are plenty of sub-fields where you do want someone with experience. I wouldn't put an iOS developer into a position where they have to write kernel code.

I'd argue that many people don't need credit at all outside of a mortgage, which really should have a real investigation into your financial situation anyway.

I'm surprised that they aren't making a bigger effort for Linux support. Last time I tried swift on linux it wasn't even packaged by ubuntu. If you `apt install swift` you get some object store tool.

It might be in their courses, but they doesn't mean they understood or retained it properly. Lots of programmers get by without ever reimplementing those in industry work
