Is NuScale’s design a good one to compare against? Isn’t it a theoretical design only? I held their stock for a while until I realized they don’t exist to make a reactor. They exist to get funding. Sounds crazy, but look through their actio

Isn't that most business models? Make it easier to do something. A car is easier than a bike. A grocery store is easier than talking to a farmer. Ordering a cab is easier than walking. A VPS is easier than managing your own hardware.

For experiments and hobby projects the value proposition is amazing. Where else can you spin up an independent instance for $1.94 per month?* *Note this is for an instance with only 256MB RAM ( https://fly.io/docs/about&

This is a bit of a black and white way of putting it. Yes, much state money is wasted, but not all. Some of the money went to Swedish construction workers for example.

I don’t think Xi cares about carbon. He just wants to build as much power as possible so that China becomes an economic powerhouse (no pun intended). Imagine what would happen in Europe or the US if power is 1/5th the price or lower. I

I could make a counterargument that at least Elon and Trump are making it clear that they are teaming up. There are probably countless other big companies that are much more secretive about their collaborations.

Meanwhile battery energy storage deployments increase about 100% per year in both China and the US. That means battery deployments will have tripled in... 2026. Just to show the difference in growth rate, if batteries would keep increasing
