Reminds me of this from Minions: https://youtu.be/Xs4LF8QnELM At least it’s less confusing than the fucked up Intel and AMD product numbers.

Indeed. I’m running on a 512Gb MBP 14” and have 310Gb free so no point in this for me.

This is actually really cheap. Maxed out at £7999 is less than half the price of an HP Z with similar numbers configured in which it probably can’t even get near the mac. And it doesn’t need $1000 wheels.

Touch ID seems to stop working when people get old. Several people I know it doesn’t work properly for. Skin related.

Sold. Been waiting for this for years. Edit: to clarify I will lurk and wait until it is £200 off on Amazon one day because I don’t need it immediately.

Are we sure the software isn’t just done as in finished? Stagnation means not being experimented on by vendors. I’m happy with that.

Even if he succeeds in that, what is the end game? You now have an immutable hard border on one side of your country, are knee deep in sanctions which will not evaporate and another giant nation ready to take advantage of your poor position

The real mockery is it shows you exactly how much the independent certifications they have mean which everyone uses as due diligence check boxing.

Really most organisations that end up in the cloud don't need elasticity. I have worked with a number of companies and they all run entirely static sized clusters. They don't even benefit from scaling down the cluster out of peak

There's no tax or cash flow reason here. We have full autonomy and it's a fraction of our revenue and profit. Rack space is included in my pricing there. As for technicians, we still have to employ the same number of people. Inste

This. We pay $90k/yr just for an EC2 DB instance when the hardware would have cost us $50k for 3 years including the rack to stick it in and the transit. It should be hybrid but everyone is busy sucking dick in the AWS fashion show.

I’d come back and find the frame attached to the post and everything else stripped off it. Not only that I bet the frame creaks and all sorts. Plus it’s going to be a lot weaker. It’s a stupid invention.

HDCP strippers and torrent sites are a thing. I prefer my media from an ethical source, which means mkv on a usb stick. Even if I paid for the streaming service already.

Thanks for this reference. I was told I'm having this rolled out onto the infra I'm using. I have added this to the growing list of reasons to quit.

It doesn’t always work in the UK though. If I wasn’t white and middle class and looked poor then the outcome would be different. Really most people don’t have the ability to defend themselves from this and the police know that. The problem

I was asked this in London in 2016 outside Embankment tube. I declined and impolitely suggested that the officer should piss off or arrest me. He didn’t take the matter any further after eyeing up the probability that I’d sue them. The poin
