As a hobby pianist trying to relearn some music, I was looking at Denemo, Frescobaldi, etc the other day. But I ultimately realized that I prefer a simple text based solution, because I can use a text editor rather than learning a complicat

Their top of the line Nexus 10 has issues which they are not able to fix. They are shipping a crippled version of KitKat on Nexus 10 because of a graphics driver issue!

But the cost of installing Java is spread across several apps. So the cost is negligible over time. It is like saying, if I build a web-app, the user needs to first install the browser. True, but once installed, other web-apps have a zero c

I like App-Engine and now that there are open-source, API compatible alternatives, there is no lock-in to worry about either. The biggest drawback for App Engine is lack of async support. The only ways to scale are: multiple-threads (slow)

What I would love is an app that does this locally, without sending my data to the cloud. I would readily pay a good deal for it. Better than my information being sold to advertising agencies and their cronies.

To avoid the slippery slope, couldn't there be a jury system that could decide the genuineness and applicability of a case of euthanasia? Leaving it only in the hands of a single person, be it the patient, or doctor or relative is boun

+1 for travel. I took to travel a couple of years back and it worked wonders. So much in fact that I had to cut back on travel and all the friends that I had accumulated. It started taking too much of time (though I enjoyed it).

More than the early adopters, I am more worried about the unfair advantage that the creators of Bitcoin enjoy. IIRC, just one individual already owns ~25% of all bitcoins that will ever be mined!
