These decompilation projects are not using the distributed game binary to derive the code in their ports directly. It's just used as a rubric. The source code generated from this process is not Nintendo's. That's the idea, at

Isn't agreeing to only run an AGI with whatever theoretical alignment controls we come up with, also a social agreement? Seems we will have to figure that out one way or another.

That may be, but as far as feasibility goes: I'd bet on solving a social problem over an amorphous technical problem (alignment).

Airgap it. Give it no connections to the outside world, just a single controlled interface with a human operator. It's reduced to an advisor at this point, not an agent, but it removes most potential harm short of tricking its operator

I think perhaps you missed the analogy here? The fire is OpenAI controlling an AI with their alignment efforts. The analogy here is that some company could recreate the AGI-under-alignment and just... Decide to remove the alignment controls

I can relate to the author's frustration of forgetting large chunks of their childhood. My memory has always been poor, and I'm often envious of people who seem to know their upbringing like the back of their hand - as without it

Just tried on my pixel device. Can't say it worked. You hit the assistant thing, say what song is this, then hum as it prompts you. Then stop humming, but it never seems to finish the query. You tap the flat sound wave thing, and it ta

So... Is this feature for this kind of workflow: Branch A from main, make a change X. Branch B from main, make a change Y. X and Y happen to have a common subset, call it Z. Someone changes code that effects Z and pushes to main. You are on

There's a clip in the show of a young female teenager who wants to go to school but has instead been separated from her family and forced to work on her (I believe) uncles farm. You're probably asking about the general trend but t

`npx <package>` does run project installed binaries, if they exist (node_modules/.bin/<package>). In that scenario it's equivalent to `yarn <package>`. Otherwise yes it falls back to a global package, and a

You mow one large yard every couple weeks. Landscapers mow multiple in a day. It's already a low paying gig, with how expensive batteries are I don't think they'll be using electric equipment anytime soon.
