Me in the Netherlands use an e bike for almost everything. Even bike with 3 kids to school, groceries etc. Love it. But i also have a big SUV. I could not live without it. Holidays, visiting friends, picking up large stuff. So i still fill

Offtopic tip. Buy a pc screen instead and attach a nvidia shield or your own box. I never return to normal tv screens again. I also like the more natural color feel of pc screens. Tv s are bloated with color filters, frame interpolators and

None of the 'euro leaders' in the article appear to have technical backgrounds. Politicans, accountants and lawyers. That's how the EU is ruled. No wonder these projects tend to fail so often. You need men or women with visio

I started with rhino3d a while ago. I like that everything can be done by typing a command. By default your cursor is in a command field and everything you type instantly searches for a command. There are menu items as well. But once you ge

Its refreshing to see something different than another unreal engine based game. It must be extremely challenging to have your own inhouse engine. The engine is one thing. The tooling to build levels, animations etc is maybe even harder. I

Gradle is almost a language itself. I have never seen a project where teams didnt run into gradle hell and spend hours on every lib update to fix gradle issues. Its just too damn complex and most of the time nobody is really an expert in it

The worse thing of all is that these companies dont care for its drivers. On what kind of earth do we live. Hopefully these kind of companies will be seen as pure evil in history books in 100 years from now.

I think that chunking up your application layer into smaller parts is always a good idea. But when do you say its a microservice? When its completely isolated, with its own database etc. Are many small applications running as seperate binar

Moore is still alive. In 2030 we have an estimated one trillion transistors on a chip. We would need that for our ever increasing hunger for memory and processing power. 1TB model on your iphone 22 with 100 tokens per second.

You would split it to o2 and carbon. The real issue is the rotation speed of venus. Almost a year to rotate arround its axis.

Would it be possible at some point to have voxels the size of a pixel? And would it benefit for example path tracing, physics and other things?

Yes you need to have floor heating. Here in the netherlands pretty standard in new houses. The tiles can look really like wood. Its expensive though and not easy to replace. No floor heating would be too cold indeed.

Looking at this i am so happy that i am still using my own component framework. In combination with a nice bundler like parceljs only 100kb for an entire frontend application. Less than 10ms to render a webapp. No trillions of layers. Just

I bought my 20 year old infiniti for 14k, 10 years ago. I think most people will be in serious issues when they suffer a 14k bill for a fender. I think if do a large overhaul including a full repaint on my car it would cost less than 14k

I would rather create a quick sqllite file. Create some tables with dbeaver and create a csv processor to write to the sqllite file. Max 1 hour.

TCP got a much higher ping delay. For real fps like multiplayer experience you definitely need UDP. Packet loss should be ignored, not retried.

A few years at most. 3d programs will adopt it. Game engines like unreal will adopt it. But right now it requires still too much time. Once computing gets faster by 10-100x it will be there.

Nowadays i would argue that the css rendering speed is faster than the Android UI renderer which suffers from extreme complexity. Ios might be still faster, but also much more limited. A good SPA is indistinguishable from a native app.
