I wish I could do that in Canada. Not totally isolated but a few kms from a main road with a chalet and something. Solar for power, Starlink for network and I can die in that chalet. But building and maintaining are going to be hell because

Getting America back to manufacturing is an expensive and long term job. And it probably requires some bloodshed. No one os going to do that. The next best thing is to source from countries that is not China or whoever you don't like.
