I've been in a few discussions on Reddit where people said this is a half-truth. Perhaps someone can confirm? From Wikipedia[0]: § 512(c) also requires that the OSP: 1) not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to the infri

Yes it's a weird feature but I found myself drawn to it. Just like with natural language, sometimes the 'unless' keyword feels like a better fit. Both keywords work in postfix form, and this is how I usually use 'unless&

It's a shame, Genshin Impact was actually really good but crippled as a game by the monetary choices. It could be amazing as a single player game with a set price but for myself, like many, what I enjoyed at the start was replaced by d

Stash tabs are pretty much required for serious play though I tend to see this as a free trial with an upgrade to a paid game. The investment is reasonable, and more investment isn't necessarily Pay to Win (More). Though there is a mem

Exactly, gamers have gone from thinking horse armor is stupid to now accepting "only cosmetic" and it's a problem. Are you going to put better looking items in the game for free if you could charge $20 in the store? Are you g

I know in many markets (China notably) exact drop rates must be published. But some publishers pull out rather than reveal them to the western markets too. As for an analysis I remember reading this for Genshin Impact which implied the rate

It's an example of a law in one country changing what a company does in another country to access the market, without a global mandate. I read that as the main point, not trade secrets. In your example, a company with trade secrets may

I don't think it needs to be fully global, just a significant market. EU's mandate on USB-C chargers is one example where you lose a lot by opting out.

In this case, possibly nothing, since antitrust already exists. But I'm not qualified to decide. It is probably best to wait and see how this and the Apple/Epic case play out to see if changes are required. I'm just a bit sic

Yes I've seen that poem before. According to google translate though, the tones on the parent example are identical. So context would be all they have to go by unless there is an aspect I'm missing as a non-speaker. It's prob

Thanks, though I had to zoom in like an old man to see all those details :) If the spoken sound is the same, I assume the meaning comes from context. Are the written adornments therefore redundant? Is it much like English how we now have kn

I have the exact opposite reading. A monopoly is perfectly positioned to make outlandish offers way over value for potential future competitors to kill or absorb them and maintain dominance. Make them an offer they can't refuse.

I'm not so sure. The FTC for example lists a lot of possibilities, and it states monopoly is used as a convenient shorthand but what actually matters is: "Courts do not require a literal monopoly before applying rules for single f

Trade and economy are vital for a modern society though. If costs were instead born by the shipping companies they'd be put into the price of goods sold. I can't help but see this as a regressive use tax in many ways, since it
