All those things are correlated with death. So that it does not reduce mortality, is a strong indicator that it won’t help with severity either.

Sonos has not supported this for over 10 years, and seem to be doing quite well. It is a “smart speaker”, not a speaker, so expectations are different.

Main issue with these are the lack of inputs. 2 HDMI ports is not enough for most people. And lack of ARC complicated adding a sound system.

You don’t need to go so far back. The 2009 swine flu pandemic vaccine caused Narcolepsy in about 10 / 100 000 vaccinated, all of which were children aged 12-16 (which is not a group included in trials, by the way). https://e

Since the cost of making that cup is all domestic (labor, rent, marketing etc. the beans are maybe 1% of the cost), it will not change. Imported products may become more expensive though.

Restrictions on how much data a website can store prevents this. You can't cache 4GB of game data on a website (maximum in mobile Safari is 5MB for app cache).

From this perspective, Notion would be the perfect acquisition for Slack. Adding a wiki / todos / workflow / document editor to Slack with deep integration. https://www.notion.so/

Yes. It worked out so well the last pandemic (2009 swine flu). The vaccine had no side effects in the trials (healthy people 20-55), but caused narcolepsy for children, leaving them disabled for life. This affected over 500 children in Swe

Vietnam has a population 10 years younger than Taiwan / Sweden / Germany. This is a very significant factor when we are talking about Covid, and explains the very low mortality rate in Vietnam. But yes: Vietnam still did great, mo

Hm? It is changing from a system were it is very hard to host content anonymously to one where it is (domains currently require full name, address, phone and email to register). Not the other way around.

That too is “AI”. But there is a setting to turn off “AI previews”, that is just pulling some content from services into the dashboard.

It cracks me up that on the new LG TVs (I have a C9), it has “AI preview”. Which means: when I hover the Netflix icon in the dashboard it presents a list of the most recently played shows. I think the “Open Recent” menu debuted in 1980s? Bu

Yes! So perhaps one way to make the machine more efficient, is by one of pre-programmed “general” models, that can be attuned to a particular problem in a much shorter time?

True. But that single brain, in that person was that efficient. And represents the theoretical gap in efficiency to the machine. There are for example, other NNs also being trained to play Go, should all unsuccessful attempts be counted int

Another way of thinking about how efficient the brain is: By the article’s numbers, about 5.5 million TPU hours were required to train the machine to play as well as a Go champion. A Go champion might have trained for 8 hours a day, for 15

Could just as well be statistical anomaly. Denmark (which has about the same population as Norway) has 50% more deaths per capita compared to Sweden, with stronger restrictions than Norway. With the numbers we’re looking at (10-100 deaths)
