I guess Gogs have an excuse, as they had to host the project somewhere , and perhaps they haven't started dog fooding because of migration difficulties, e.g. the issue tracker. But I wonder what's the excuse for Gitea as they

This program is amazing, particularly things like colour cycling (by right clicking on gradient menu), and real good brush-from-selection. GrafX2 is to Gimp what Vim is to LibreOffice Writer, approximately.

Well, if the owner of the forum is receiving request e.g. to delete accounts or to disclose what data is recorded about someone, why not just comply with the request? What's the big deal?

The Qt "gui" front end for Neovim was pretty much indistinguishable from a terminal emulator, last time I tried it. I don't see the appeal in it. Kakoune looks pretty interesting on the other hand. It even has a Clippy. I

This looks super interesting. Somehow similar to Searx[1], except that Jive even has its own crawler, whereas Searx really just is a metasearch engine. I haven't tried setting up an instance myself, but it appears to be quite simple.

Interesting idea, but I don't think anyone would pay for it. From a freedom perspective it would probably be considered SaaSS[0]. You could use wkhtmltopdf[1] for a service like that. [0]: https://www.gnu.org/philosophy

Exactly. HTML email is a privacy hell[0]. However, many email clients can work around this, e.g. in Mutt you can let Lynx do a plaintext dump of the HTML email. Also, the whole issue of JavaScript in HTML emails at least deserves a mention[
