Congratulations on 1.5. An interesting language that I personally enjoyed when toying around. I like the approach to "meta"-programming via macros.

It is interesting that you automatically assume that I didn't have many touchpoints with JS just because I don't get the hype. Actually quite the opposite is the case. I was happily writing loads of vanillajs, tons of Angular(1) a

Why is react so popular? It’s just covering a small part of the stack and doesn’t bring much to the table? There were so many other solutions before and so many other solutions now. Are people attracted by the name Zuckerberg? Srsly I don’t

So did the need for computers before the revolution started. It’s just a matter of time

It’s so dirty what Microsoft is doing here. They ripped the tech out of developers hands just to sell us drips of it. Drips that are not enough to build a product for more than a few people. They require to check on the use before launching

Same goes for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and all other Meta products.

Apple has a lot of other bugs in their code, too. Did you ever try to delete a Bootcamp partition and merge it to you main disk when using their new filesystem? It corrupts the disk and in order to be able to reallocate the disk space you n

I'm running fish for at least 8 years now and I'm very happy with the out of the box experience. It's one of the first things I install on new machines.

That’s bs and not sustainable. Choose a routine that won’t kill you when you get a little older. I can do muscle ups, headstand, handstands and all these calisthenics things but not that early in the morning without warmup

I was hoping so much for: - Mac Pro. - New XDR Display. - More M2 product upgrades. No new professional gear for devs at a developer conference :(

Why should one use this and not the OpenAI Playground itself? As far as I'm concerned I'm fine with having a website open. One does need an API key anyways.

I don’t think that is smart

Let them talk. You will do it no matter if they get it or not.

Not really a new chip version. Still 5nm.

by hit8run 4y ago
144hz 4K is common yes. 5k upwards there is nothing above 60hz.

Where is the new Mac Pro? Where is the upgrade to the XDR Display? Where is the M2 Mac Mini? What a shit show.

by hit8run 4y ago
I don’t buy 60hz displays in 2022. No way this comes without 120hz „Pro Motion“. Disgusting.

The whole capitalist system is broken. Not only the teaching part. Our world is ridiculously fucked up and we can count the days till it will collapse.

The idea behind it is to keep the idiots commuting just to sit down in the wage cage 9000. It’s for three months only btw and just a trick to improve acceptance of the new German Poverty caused by very bad political decisions.

You find the screen real estate sufficient? I hate developing on a small screen (especially for the web).

Why use HDMI when there is USB-C or Thunderbolt? As far as I know 4k@60hz is max on HDMI. You are optimising the wrong thing here.
