Yes, be a good trained puppy! Your mind was made to train giving the right answers to business recruitment experts! Learn what you should think and how to be a good A+ wagie!!! Follow the rules. Make the desired mindset your own! Remove your critical thinking and tell yourself: my whole purpose is to serve the globocorp stakeholders! If you do a good job you make them a ton of money so they can get new mega-yachts/mansions/islands/luxury! If you or the economy don’t do so well the next year it is utterly important to protect the stakeholder-wealth and remove you from the payroll :)
Good and now go and train to give the answers they want to hear :)
- deeptote 4y agoGoogle is well known for hoarding/warehousing talent, and this is exactly how they find compliant employees, not competent ones.
- ushakov 4y agoGoogle employees are mostly competent but very obedient though, very obedient they even have dog whistles attached to them, aka. a pager that will call them whenever the corporation needs them

- adampk 4y agoI can't figure out the insight of this comment? Ostensibly it is meant to reveal how misanthropic this approach is, but what I see being defined is: an organization trying to find talent that agrees with their perspective and 2-sided at-will employment? "Yes, be a good trained puppy! Make a reservation to be able to get into the restaurant. Read the menu, then order an entree. Then eat the food the chef made just for you. Chew it allllll up." I guess you can make any banal activity seem misanthropic with this tone?

- HellDunkel 4y agoIts not too hard to figure out this is a satirical comment about the future of work. I guess most people do not want to be cast, directed or performance rated by machines.
- adampk 4y agoI guess I am missing the reference to machines in the comment and all I see being satirized is an interview process.
- ushakov 4y agoi feel like this is an attempt to train an AI model so they can get rid of those stinky human recruiters
- blablabla123 4y agoWell it's a flawed optimization in the end. Shareholders will actually not gain from removing critical thinking, the inverse happens but at an unknown point in time which is somehow the worst-case for a shareholder. But I think things actually got better, there was a time when people would have to answer about their greatest weaknesses that they are impatient about tasks getting finished.
