I am surprised so many cling to the idea that intelligence is highly genetic when we have demonstrated before that so many things can be done to completely nullify any genetic advantage. I am not saying there are no genetic contributions, b

Not the GP, but I'll comment about ADHD, since that is what I have relevantly read research about. For ADHD, it appears that therapy < medication < therapy + medication. When compared head-to-head, therapy is almost as useful as

I might have to give this a try one day. In my experience, therapy as a tool to improve one's life is overrated and not worth the money. But hey, that has been my experience over a long period of time with many different providers. Eve

I remember listening to a podcast where a psychiatrist was talking about something similar to what you are describing. Take something a person could desire like wanting to learn how to play the piano, for example. Often times, what people d

I skipped mine. Graduating college was not something that I was necessarily proud of. I wouldn't dare try to take that feeling away from someone else though. For me? College was just an obstacle -- a chore -- that was just a step in a

I grew up on spring water from a (small?) cavern system in my backyard. People can say what they want about fluoride, but I truly believe it makes quite the difference in dental health based on my experiences.

Actually, I was the last junior hired -- 8 years ago. Somehow, my org is able to find mid-level to senior people. However, we do not really have such titles since it's a very small shop. So, perhaps I am not the best at judging whom is

My job basically prefers the Contract-to-Hire pipeline. One is often hired on as a contractor, and if things work out by the time your contract is up, then you can stay. In a sense, we are doing something similar to AppSumo.
