I know someone who worked at a recycler who was paid to physically destroy and certify media as destroyed. It took time and money to destroy media so it just sat in a warehouse for months and the paperwork was lies. Eventually they went ban

They did this to me once after finding an allergy test was inconclusive. After about 9 months of being ill and having nutritional issues I was back to where I was again with the same problem This turned out to be lactose so I just avoid it

It has no idea about calculus at all. Not only that it's a numeric not a symbolic calculator. So taking it even further back to basics, if you do sqrt(12) it should really crap out 2+sqrt(3) [as a surd] but it just dumps the evaluation

Mathematician here. No it's really not. Having used it extensively it craps out all the time, fails to parse things properly, doesn't understand anything other than a very narrow undefined subset of anything that needs to be done

If you compare a good x86 to a crap ARM yes. Laptops are populated mostly with crap x86 and good ARM (apart from snapdragon which is a crap ARM)

If I was going to bother now I'd start at static content and work back from that to a solution. Be that a static site generator or another tool which is scraped into static, but nothing you have to host anywhere other than a cheap CDN.

We used to have Demon internet in the UK. The local vicar told us proudly that he was using it and thought it was funny. Depends how backwards people are…

Eh could be worse. My daughter’s boyfriend’s parents won’t use Apple stuff because the logo has a bite out of it. Hilariously though they are paranoid about China and Chinese influence and go on about it all the time including Apple making

The problem is by the time it does everything you need it to do, it's a fat turd again. Your point is like saying C is a lightweight language. It sure is, until you have layered everything else you need on top of it.

React is not boring. We have to use a 64 gig machine to build one of our React things and it takes 45 minutes to do so. I'm literally on a meeting now trying to work out how to make it boring again.

There was an AI crypto scam channel. Musk is so scammy that it looked feasible and was shared widely by the looks.

While I appreciate these projects, I can't see any headway for something like this in our academic community. We have a very established ecosystem of LaTeX packages, styles and documents, some of which are more than 25 years old. Every

That's not even the problem I encounter. They literally crap out on stupidly simple tasks. Recent ones: 1. Bing was gaslighting me into 9.11 being greater than 9.9 2. ChatGPT said that 7x7/7+7/7+7/7 was 24. 3. When expan
