Your post just made me chug a glass of water. Having seen many people go through it (most of my family as well), I am terrified of stones and drink a lot of water and thus pee annoyingly often. Staying in the lane between stones and water i

Growing up in the US then living for quite some time in Europe it was initially weird for me to not see AC everywhere, but I quickly realized it was much more comfortable for me. Something about being in a cold building and then going out i

Guess some Texans have seen your post ;) Not in TX myself but after a recent Texas-like heat/humidity wave I found myself thinking how much more energized and comfortable I felt after it left, but it was still subjectively quite a high

I even dispute the notion that there is anything wrong with being anti-American. It's not a personal insult unless one chooses to take it as such. I am American by birth, have lived abroad, and find the way things are done in the US to

I've been on the hunt for the "perfect" body for years after having gone way too in depth into testing refills and obsessing over minutiae of the writing experience, but I seem to want the opposite of what most people do. I w

That's mostly what my reaction was too :) I did think there would be a lot more interest. I would have thought Trek fans were common here.

New trailer for the series. I am putting the YouTube link below as well but it may be regional. It might sound ridiculous to be so excited over a TV show, but TNG was formative for me. My life is completely miserable and hopeless and day to

If the sustainable tight knit community is awash with horrible "values" like racism, homophobia, xenophobia, tribal bigotry and arrogance etc then I don't want to be a part of it. It's perpetuating the wrong things in my

I live in a different country now and it's difficult to maintain long distance relationships in the best circumstances. When I lived there and saw them on the street (I lived nearby) it was always nice and they are wonderful people, bu

I've always been envious of such families. Only one person in my family was really a quality person, and he passed long ago. I moved abroad for a time to a country where families are closer and while it was exhausting and intense in it

What would be the leanest linux browser option if one HAD to use Google Docs. I am assuming there would be no practical way for a typical user (read "not a software engineer") to do that in a text only environment.
