Dude, you see, on the site, that map of the US with a huge pipe from West to East for burritos? Nobody makes that even for oil, least for burritos lol. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9958407 https://hn.algo

It's just a joke. It doesn't exist. Nothing is clear enough to show that it is not serious, on the site, so it's worth precising. A story from the same site that I quite enjoyed: https://idlewords.com/2003

Ok it looks like you're right that by default a lot of tracking is done. However the link you provided shows that in "Google Activity Controls" and "Google Ad Settings" the user has the possibility to completely opt

I think it's the classic "help enhance user experience" opt-out (usually prompted when you first open Chrome) that was weirdly not done here. It's accessible even afterwards on chrome://settings/security

Afaik, Chrome does not the tracking. Or do you have some source? In the event that such behavior would occur, it can be detected by sniffing your packets, and people would very soon speak about it.

Oh, thanks for pointing out. You're right, so the Minsky case does not belong to the controversy around RMS positions. I did not know of this Dutch group, and I think their purpose is wrong.

Right, the context was earlier (2006). I don't know all of the accumulated missteps he did, so of course I will refrain from concluding. At least, the one about the over-generalization seems legit (with the example of a willing 17 yo).

The context is the one of the accusation of Marvin Minsky, in a case involving Epstein. The victim was a 17 yo girl, and "if" the condition of sexual slavery of the victim was not made clear, it could have been misunderstood as a

[edit: I got the context wrong, see children comments] The commented pedophilia was the allegated one of Marvin Minsky with a 17 yo girl, whose coercion (by Epstein) into sexual acts was maybe (probably, in the words of RMS) not made clear

As I said in another comment, shiitake mushrooms are an excellent source of B12. Moreover it's the same form of B12 as found in beef, liver, fish, etc, so you have no worries of bioavailability.

Many many comments here overlook that there are very good natural and vegan sources of B12: Shiitake mushrooms are an excellent source of B12 (and it's in the same form as the B12 from beef, liver, or fish, so it has a very good bioa

I think that's a problem of interpretation more than a hard obstacle. In many projects there is the requirement of a fixed release for 3rd party dependencies, versions for which all tests have been checked to pass (this is what is done

They did just that when they were mowing the lawns near my house when I was a kid. They would come to the school, plug in (and unroll partly a big portable extension cord), mow the lawn, move to the upper lawn, plug at a different outlet ov

Most of the time electric lawn-mowers are just using the mains and are powered through a cable. These kind of models exist since a very long time, and I was not thinking of any battery model when I wrote my comment.

In most cities there are electrical outlets for municipal workers too (in urban context they are often protected by a lock). In many cases there is also a way to plug to the grid using traps on the side of streetlights.

But in urban or suburban context a power outlet is never far away. We're speaking of people doing their lawns after all...

Nice!!! I really hope Tokyo is next in line. And all the other cities in the world. After all, the mains are never really far away in urban or suburban context, so ICE-powered tooling is meaningless.
