Moderation is still irrelevant. You don't solve the problem you refer to with moderation, you solve it by privacy laws and their enforcement, because publishing the contact details of somebody without their consent is a crime. The prob

Group feature is already present and is a different thing than Telegram's channels or Facebook's groups. On Signal it is a group of your contacts, so it remains private conversation. There is nothing publicly said, and it is not o

I doubt that this will ever be an issue, because Signal is a messaging application, on which censoring/moderation is thus irrelevant. It's not a social network (contrary to e.g. Telegram which has tons of SNS features). Let's

The whole point is that, in countries in which Signal is forbidden, the mere fact to connect to it can lead to big troubles. However I acknowledge that the problem solved here by Signal team is orthogonal to the one of hidding the users.

Yes, indeed, I'm baffled that the people from Signal who dismiss these critics think that the only people possibly "endangered" are the proxy owners. It does not cross their mind that the users are immediately endangered too.

Like other comments I think the author addressed the wrong market. Essentially he developped a tool to facilitate meta-analyses, both building them and then presenting the results. So, his customers should have been people who usually are i

I hope the company Flo Health gets definitively banned from the Google Play store. They just show off how little they understand their business and the principles of medical confidentiality.

[edited] Indeed it is far from straightforward that merely doing a video call suffices to check the keys. Signal is famously using a special protocol for secure key sharing through the server, which I have not studied. But as said by anothe
