Once they publish the docs for how to build plugins, TablePlus is going to be the obvious choice. I can't wait for my database browser to have charting!

Can attest to the quality of VictoriaMetrics. Happily running it at https://HostedMetrics.com for our hosted Prometheus + Grafana offering.

If you have a statement to make, please put it in words so we can have a proper debate. Otherwise, as you see, you're getting downvoted.

Good response now but slow to pull the trigger on the lockdown. People seem to have forgotten that already! Precious days were wasted before Cuomo finally called a lockdown.

You get what you pay for, basically. If governments were to pay top dollar and actually fire incompetent people, I'm sure our world would be a much better place.

The main point people make about differentiating your digital product is to not compete on price. A lower price means less money for advertising and marketing, so a losing proposition. What you're proposing with the one-time upfront fe

Unforeseen? Only because the people who created this rule couldn't be bothered or allowed to spend a few extra minutes thinking of edge cases. This is just one example of many blunt rules and laws we have on the books. Maybe in 100 or

Go to https://IndieHackers.com , copy paste the story you explained here, give a brief description of your product, ask for a few people to try it out. The crowd there is helpful and is willing to spend the time with you.

In the grander scheme that I'm discussing, the solution you're asking about is to gather no more metrics than the off-the-shelf tools allow and spend the engineering effort on fixing the simple bugs that prevent customers from get

When the Android app is broken in so many easy-to-fix ways that blatantly interfere with usability, how does a company allow its developers to spend time on making custom internal tools or even spend time open-sourcing them? The company has

My impression is that it's already more reliable than humans. Not perfect, but it probably averages better than all the crashes humans are causing.

Thank you for pointing out StaticGen. Now I can find the product built with technologies I know so that I can get stuff done quickly instead of learning the tools of the most popular product on that list.

Datadog has ~9000 customers. I imagine the respective open-source tools have many more customers than that, which says something about the perceived value of the two approaches. Also, Datadog wraps many tools into one whereas the open-sourc

Plenty of people are happy using the industry-standard open-source tools: - metrics system (Prometheus, InfluxDB, Graphite, etc.) - dashboards (Grafana) - alerts (both the metrics system and Grafana can handle this) If you're not a big
