For many people battery tech is good enough. What's not good enough in some areas are charging points (UK).

In this price range my recommendation would be Grand Seiko. There are microscope photos of GS and Rolex online if you search for it. You will never look at Rolex the same way ;)

Somehow related. I asked the question about DIY books[0] awhile ago. The recommendation was to go to the library and just get some DIY books. I did just that and it helped. [0] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34657879

I see a huge shift in narrative even in comments around the Internet about return to office. Just saying. I am a manager and manage a team of six people. One of them is in a completely different country. I trust all people in my team to do

Maybe there's a middle ground somewhere where performance doesn't have to be 100% for all work.

Sorry but this is just not true. You have to train your baby/toddler to sleep during the day as well. If two parents are both home and working from home it works pretty well. You save 5 hours of commute time and 2 hours for lunch. That

I have to agree with a message you're replying to. It does work for some people, especially if both parents are present/work from home. You actually save 5hrs of commute time and have an hour for lunch. If you split it between two

This is a non-issue if proper processes are in place. You mentioning issues with 'people are always out for various holidays' is a huge red flag. This is where strict processes and respect for other's time comes into place. I

We always communicate and somehow end up in the office together. There's always a way. Many weeks someone says 'I'll be in the office on this day. Anyone else coming in?' And then a few people say yep, let's do it.

I guess if your iPhone is not signed in in 'work or school account' then a company can't remote-wipe your phone?
