Same. The 16:10 we have with macs and the new xps are nice, but what I would give for a 4:3 ratio display on a modern monitor.

Back in the dot com days, we had all of our stack running on Solaris. (nothing clever, just Weblogic/Oracle) Our president (?) got a beast of a tadpole to do live demos in the field. The first major demo, he set up to present/p

The thing that killed most folks was the virtualized machines. They price on host, not guest OS. Got a 4 core virtual machine on a 128 core host... 128 cores need to be licensed. Those small web apps became crazy expensive where physical

If you had the drivers, Windows XP-64 was fantastic. A (ahem) workstation twist to Server 2003, which was better than XP and updated version of Windows 2000. I really miss the ISO tweaking tools that were common in the 2000/Win7 days

For us, two places. When the feature is ready to be merged in, it is reviewed by the scrum team. When they say a set of code is ready for production, it gets tagged - and that tag gets the formal peer review.

I ran Steam on Centos. You had to do some conversion to get the Steam app into an RPM format (or use one of the relases that did it for you). I've messed with it on Centos, Ubuntu, and even played with SteamOS. Last time I did this w
