I think my code has improved quite a lot since I've been thinking empathically about current and future colleagues. If you keep in mind that this code will be read by other people, and if you really want them not to have a terrible tim

The problem is that there's a lot of "fake it until you make it" in the industry, and we don't have time to actually interview individually all of the applicants you get for a job opening. I use a set of questions during

This is actually amazing. I always thought that this "seeing in systems" was also the cause of the lack of empathy that traditionally has been attributed to engineers (being this an unfair stereotype or not). There are several com

Is your central thesis that poor people are poor because they don't work hard enough?

From what I understand, people other than you and your friend will only trust one of your accounts (the real one), and will only accept money from it. So even though you might have 100 FakeYous, you will only be able to pay with RealYous.

"Tighter gun controls" doesn't always lead to "harder access to guns". How strong is the black market in Brazil (for everything, not only guns). How strong it is in the USA? How easy is to access otherwise prohibite

I think that moment.js was already built that way. For me it kinda makes sense: if days are calculated with a 1-index in mind, why make months different? As I said: it KINDA makes sense.

Slightly off-topic, but that is the main reason I do not want to have kids: I am not sure I would like the kind of person I would become. Sometimes I am already paralysed by fear when thoughts about my future take a dark turn (relatively of
