What is the E2EE story for spaces? Besides space names and member lists which I assume are visible to the server like normal rooms, what other information is also visible to the home server? Are rooms/subspaces inside spaces also visib

I'm having a hard time understanding how you lost data. Are you saying that nodes other than the one with the renamed folder are refusing to resync the renamed folder? And wouldn't the node with the renamed folder still have all y

Projared, a youtuber, got his business destroyed and was falsely labeled a pedophile because a group of kids coordinated a release. Unless a conviction is secured, a coordinated statement is meaningless if you care about justice.

Now I'm just confused. Do you believe it is okay for minio to unilaterally - and without prior permission from contributors - change the license of their project to the AGPL while also preserving the license of thirdparty Apache-licens

Yes, and the AGPLv3 is based on GPLv3, a license that has a clear stance on patents.

You're conflating two separate issues together: 1. Re-licesing the whole project is absolutely a thing. As authors of minio, the project has copyright over the combined work and are free to relicense code as long as they don't vio

I read your edits and still don't see a problem. You can still "pluck" out Apache code from minio and use that under that license. The license for Apache code hasn't changed. What you can't do is use the minio witho

You may have been correct 20 years ago, but I don't believe this argument holds water nowadays. HTTP APIs are everywhere from being required to control small embedded systems to interacting with large complex daemons. These usecases

I prefer to use openssl for this exact reason. Having to wait for everything to finish rebuilding every time a vulnerability is found is risky when you have public-facing services.

Seeing that HTTP/S is now just as fundamental as tcp and udp, perhaps Rust should also consider doing the same? Sure, leave the more complex HTTP apis to the ecosystem, but Rust should at least have some sort of basic HTTP support. I d
