If you run binaries compiled by the author of the software it wouldn't matter that it is open source, so play store is out of the question. So then it must be open source and you must use distributor you trust: your distro maintainers

Always was. Does anyone remember the defacto original ad-blockers that blocking popups were? Firefox was marketed with this feature. It is basically a condom for the Internet. It makes maintenance for family computers much easier.

Thank you for this comparison. I would also like to know how Bleve Search ( https://github.com/blevesearch/bleve ) turns out. I have for many years now a small search engine project in my free-time pipeline, but I'm

Very interesting thing. I wonder if the gap of apps not supporting a11y could be reduced by using Tesseract to OCR the text.

I think OP meant to use the actual name of the service. For example FOOBARINC_{KEY} I also think that it should look just a bit cryptic to make a person unsure if they can meddle with the string.

This looks nice and useful. I was thinking for a long time about a graphics manipulation program that would put every step as a separate line with all parameters visible. Then you can change any parameter from earlier steps as you see fit.
