No basis. OP gave one anecdote, I gave another one. They seem to contradict each other. That's my point - they are both just anecdotes.

I think at least some part of the effect for you is placebo for sure. I'm sure not all of it or even the most of it. My wife has lower then normal for women testosterone levels, but she always have been a bit less girly then other fema

When someone defends use of Electron they usually say it helps productivity so much, that the application would not be created if it would have to be done with a more conservative technology stack. I like to write my personal projects using

As much as I like suckless software (not necessarily the community) it is a pretty contentless article: - I like Suckless - I like Alpine - I like Void more now - Here's a script

What do you mean? It is not a blog post, those are release notes, that do not seem to me to be relevant to my comment.

For me a little disadvantage of Meson is that it is implemented in Python. With my interest in minimal systems and bootstrapping I would hope that it would get to be reimplemented in something easier to bootstrap or (maybe preferable) Pytho

I am sure it comes down to economics really, but I do wonder now about a mission in far future, that would clean solar panels of all those older missions to make them work again. For shits and giggles I guess.

I will tell about my most recent more significant hack. I was building a Yocto image and it failed, because it filled remaining space of my 128G disk. I run some diagnostics. ncdu showed clearly that it is all Yocto builds. Then remembering

Consistency is the only thing that matters. You would not be happy if things would shuffle in the retail store every time you go in, would you? Of course, there are things that are shuffled around, but you can always count on fresh-produce,

I liked to play the SimCopter demo and thanks to it Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries still remind me of the game. I suspected (or maybe just hoped) that you could somehow import SimCity 2000 cities (I had the original boxed release, the

In prose yes. However there is a structure to dialoge, that is hard to miss, you also have indentations, sections and chapters. Many books have lists for example, but it is usually not prose.

I'm not a lisper by any measure. I want to dabble at one point in Scheme and I got to do slightly more than take a look with some basic tutorials. I find the example from Friedman the most readable by far. It is probably also the only
