For a thousand pounds you can buy a small used car, tax it, insure it and drive it around for a bit. Meanwhile an average e-bike costs more than that. Does that sound sane to you?

I find it amusing how they did not interview one single person who thought he or she might just choose a different way of transportation, instead of driving a car, unless absolutely necessary. I used to commute in the north between two mid-

I have the same phone, and the main culprit is the connectors. The audio jack connector has gone a few years ago, now the USB-C is getting worse - I need to sometimes wiggle the cable to connect the charger. If I use a headphone then the sm

An interesting feature of steel frames is demonstrated by Surly frames: their rear end spacing is currently 145mm, which is neither 142 nor 148 (the standards). What they say is that because it is steel, you can bend it a couple of millimet

I would argue that your income tax calculator logic should probably not be unit tested, it sounds complicated enough to involve multiple classes / units of code. What you really want to test is business logic, not code logic.

Maybe _your_ type system doesn't do that. It is perfectly possible to introduce type aliases to differentiate between X and Y coordinates - though usually it is not worth the trouble. (Unless you are working on the firmware of a nuclea

A bit of a naive approach in my opinion - nobody will tell you the name of the client or even a vague salary range without a phone call - otherwise they would have included it in their first message. Also, nobody will read that long email.
