This is not the basics of making music. It's a super advanced technique using a computer. The real basics involve pencil, (staff) paper, and hard work. Downvotes please.

I don't know the specifics (sort of watching, amuses, from the sidelines) but the 2/3 schism is still very real. I'm not fluent in Python at all, and so it seems I have to have both, and if `pip install` doesn't work the

Verasanos isn't what I'd call "New York style"... it's more like actual pizza, like, from Italy. Tasty but I am extremely disappointed with having clicked... any tips for imitating the hole in the wall NYC pizzeria?

A potential client told me he was planning on having three SQL databases. I asked him why, what each would be for, and he didn't really know. Just a vague sense that his app was going to be too much for a single db.

The git history shouldn't reflect the dev process, it should be maximally useful to other devs. Bugs and mistakes should be squashed/fixup'd before merging. One squashed commit per feature is also terrible. A commit should co

Wouldn't regular Chrome have the same issue? Each tab is a full instance... your argument is against Chrome and web apps, not Electron.

Isn't that size arbitrary? Downloading and storing a 100mb program takes the same (or less) fraction of your available resources today as downloading and storing a 1mb program in 1995. Are you short on disk space? Download is too slo

Finally a music tool with version control. I've been wishing for this to happen for so long! The first big player (Ableton etc) to integrate versioning will have a huge advantage.

That's the exact attitude that leads those companies to behave badly. Its crazy that we love chicken enough to let CFA, a proudly bigoted org, succeed in NorCal.

Yes and no... we might reach an equilibrium where the level of customer service just increases. Visit Japan and then come back to the USA- American companies treat their customers like cattle (or cow pies).

Normal panes are still nice in that they can be "far" from (n)vim; also sometimes I crash the editor and I wouldn't want my shells to vaporize.

Disappointed in Bugsnag for covering such trodden trails for a HN front page grab. Content marketing should have something to do with your business. There are hundreds of blog posts describing this exact setup.

When I hear "web developer" I think of a person who produces web applications. "Web designer" is the term for someone who produces WordPress sites.
