Additionally, it's still a great choice to back any fancy modern front end tool. API mode and/or Webpacker. I'd love for bootcamps to stop teaching Rails so the rest of us can start raising the bar again.

The biggest blocker I've run into is that the Docker build process can't cache bundler/npm/etc runs so every dependency change results in a full rebuild. Is that solved yet? If not, local dev with Docker is still a no-g

Compared to a rigorous comprehensive education, social development, and near total lack of responsibility, starting a company at 18 is not "good" experience. 18 year olds are idiots (source: was one) and are simply not capable of

A code comment is not like an intro paragraph. Comments are second class compared to code; see any code base. Of course they don't actually do anything except confuse humans, partially because they have no defined syntax or grammar, a

We also have this idea now that spending an afternoon with some tech is enough experience to share with others. Initial learning curve and "am I immediately as productive as I wish I was?" have somehow become key metrics.

That may be true, but you could just not use gross compression on your digital tracks to achieve loudness and it'd be moot.

Please define "warmer" and compare to how 100 other vinyl buffs define it. It's meaningless, if you just admit it's an emotional preference then I'm fine with it.

As long as nobody is claiming they sound better, and it's just for fun and nostalgia, I'm all for it. It really bugs me when vinyl buffs try to argue their rig sounds better or warmer or whatever than the same rig with a digital (
