Maybe uncommon over all, but you should definitely expect the GNU project to use Guile for scripting needs. In this context, it's the obvious choice. Furthermore, anything that tricks you into learning Scheme is a good thing. Like eati

You would just use Guile. That's the magic of the Lisp family. Edit: downvotes are because you're sort of insulting Lisp (which is older than you and all your "best practices") with an ignorant complaint.

That article seems like an oversimplification. Isn't the bank is still on the hook for its liabilities? It might be playing a dangerous game, but it's betting against a bank run (which are rare) and on itself having enough liquid

I assume anyone who works in mental health is familiar with the basics of empathy. Yes, I am familiar with the difference. I believe psychiatry is a subclass of psychology.

Code is not generally thrown away. Look at all the code in your OS. It's not opinion unless you refuse to look at facts.

Your comment implies the situation is less bad than the article suggests. To someone held under shady practices, you look like one of 'them'. I wouldn't outright deny that person's point of view. Are you sure you are a

The shameless support posts by execs/founders at launch partners are slimy! You guys should be ashamed. This isn't your marketing site, it's for discussion.

Why do you think you'd be cluttering the issues section? I wouldn't let that (your) perception stop you. Just open the issue if you have something to say.

Because literally five seconds of googling would have gotten you the answer. Your comment didn't add anything for anyone but yourself. That's why you got downvoted.

Let me apologize in advance for neglecting to sugarcoat this feedback: This would benefit in a major way from a pass by a designer / UX person. The first thing I noticed (and the reason that I won't even try using it) is that it&

The definition of "dirty" is arbitrary. Your "right" to not hear something abridges some else's right to publish it. You have to pick a side, and live with the consequences.

At the same time... I see a lot of the same errors at lots of startups. It can be hard to generalize best practices, and harder still to recognize when you are failing to follow them.
