I can relate. My Oregon neighbor grew four plants for the fun of it. The constant smell of weed in my backyard was annoying. He died and I had a break for a while. But then a motel a block away was converted into a grow. After wonderin

I met Caleb Chung when I was in Boise several years ago. Cool guy. Real low-key. He drove a simple Chevy Express camper van and told me the porta-toilet was a game changer. If I hadn't heard of his Furby background I wouldn't

Not 2022, but in 2021 I switched all of my clothing to synthetic including socks and underwear. This made living in a high humidity area (90+ pretty much every day) soo much more comfortable.

Reddit loves bidets. Has for years. Based on all the glowing comments, I bought one and installed it. Even after some practice and experimentation, I wasn't clean nor felt clean. Plus, the bidet added numerous crannies for urine

There is so so much content out there that I'm content just to watch the little bit that's available via Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. I don't watch multiple hours per day though.

I used to do that too. When I started to fret about forgetting any one of my scores of passwords, I switched to a password manager. Now I never worry about losing a password, I use more secure passwords, and I change my passwords more fre

Yes, that's what I meant. I use two PCs and two Android phones and Firefox Sync keeps my passwords across all devices.

At least for the libraries I'm a member of, assuming the library even has it, the wait list for nearly all books is weeks or months. And then just hope that when it becomes available, one has the time to read it.

For the average person, it isn't. For the average person with a Kindle, buying a book from Amazon is a very smooth process. My 83 year-old mother does it easily. I pirate e-books and it's kind of a pain in the ass to get the bo

People go to social media sites for engagement. If AI bots provide good interaction, most people will be happy and won't care if they are chatting with a bot. Hell, the best social site would be one in which I could create a couple o

No. Maybe I wasn't clear - I was very careful with my hearing because I already had issues (i.e. tinnitus). I think the reason I lapsed is because I wasn't engaging in loud activities as much as I used to (e.g. shooting) and j

I've had tinnitus for many years. Too much listening to Black Sabbath with headphones maybe? Anyway, it's mild and doesn't disrupt my life. I saw a documentary on tinnitus a bunch of years ago and saw that some people have

Reading this and your earlier comments, it appears you had kids in order to have someone take care of you in your old age?! You seem to have great expectations for your kids. Hopefully they are OK with that.
