This article raises some refreshing points on the startup naming process. It can be quite tough - and I ran into the naming problem many times over the years. Over 100,000,000 com domains are registered, iirc. It reached the point where I

While there is a good amount of controversy around the efficacy of antidepressants, first-line ADHD medications (the stimulants) work in roughly 70% of cases, which is much superior to placebo. For those with ADHD, treatment can make a lar

Maybe this type of issue would be ideal for a highly curated, online database. At the moment, for instance, I've done a lot of research into biomedical topics, and get pretty much all my info through online pdfs linked to from PubMed.

Assuming that your idea is reasonable, then there could be a lot of value. What if I am a researcher who has a similar idea and is saved 6 months testing because of your work? Or what if I read it and see that some of it is valuable and lo

Looks great, thanks for sharing! If you don't mind my asking, I'm curious how you can tell if a .co is available or not; iirc, they don't have a public zone file. Might you do a dns check on the spot? Anyway, good luck with

Looks very nice, cool. As a new programmer/web app maker, I'm quite curious how this tool might work. It's so fast - and it must be performing a lot of calculations. Anyway, thanks again for sharing!

Well, to be fair, people have been concerned about HN getting too big and losing its community for at least two years now, iirc.

Cool idea! As for me, I've been working on a career finding tool to help people find good career fits. It's almost done, and I'm excited about launching it. But I'm not sure how to get the word out about it. If you hav

Don't you mean from 0-$200,000? (It's even possible to make money from going to college, oddly enough. A college acquaintance of mine posted how she got more scholarships than school cost.)

There is little doubt that antidepressants can cause new suicidal thoughts in children. In general use antidepressants can cause manic behavior and other psychological issues.

If Reddit banned imgur, that would be very bad for it. They banned Quickmeme, which decimated its traffic.

The author did not mention that you can pay extra money to lock down a domain. If it is locked down, it can not be transferred without, iirc, a picture of your driver's license or something like that. There may also be time delays. F

I wrote a book on adult ADHD. I published it 3.5 years ago, and it brought in $75 last month. It used to bring in more, but some people wrote very negative reviews which were upvoted, so its sales dropped. I don't feel too bad because

I tried deleting an account recently. It was surprisingly easy. You just had to find the right page and push delete. Now, my account hasn't gone poof yet (it takes 2 weeks, they say), but I'm optimistic.

My former High School produces a newspaper, which is distributed to a location that I visit often. I enjoy reading it, oddly enough, in part because there are a variety of issues with the writing that I like getting worked up about.
