There is plenty of redundancy to deal with this sort of thing and they've done lots of on the fly updating of various robot probes including on 40y/o Voyager 2 which had a flipped bit in its memory.

The argument is that DDT causes at least as many deaths as malaria and loads of collateral damage in the ecosystem. There are significant advances on the horizon that look to be the solution to malaria.

Yeah this is a very limited subset of what Minecraft does and arguably the implemented bits are the low hanging fruit. I wrote a "game" in my teens that covers this functionality, though in C++ not JS on a browser.

You are confusing units and numeral systems. Pi is always Pi no matter how you count whereas c is dependent on how you measure time and space.

The question isn't absurd from a lay persons point of view and the explanation falls short. What Cushman means is a number like Pi is always 3.14159265, to us or to hypothetical aliens. Whereas the speed of light can be just effectively re

I am not in the mood for a debate on gun control. I do agree that guns aren't a prerequisite for violet death but they do make the process significantly easier given they are designed for that purpose. Your example compares apples with oran

So it immediately raises the question why isn't this released? The reasons I can think of are: * Performance isn't what they want yet. * Implementation isn't what they want yet. * There are security issues they still need to fix. OR putting

Reading about this in a country where there is tight gun control feels like reading about a dystopia future by Gibson or the like. It is the future, but not necessarily in a good way.

Surely in your example it is actually more economical for Texas than for Finland as the greater concentration of people makes it easier to deliver the service? Sure it would cost more but on a per head basis it should be cheaper . . .
