No, from the article it appears the module by itself will be $30. With the I/O board the price will be higher: "...the Compute Module will be available to buy separately, with a unit cost of around $30 in batches of 100"

The Nest display has a square body, but they only have actual pixels in a circular area[1]. Definitely innovative, but the Moto360 will need to be circular in both body and pixel area. [1] http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net

I understand the point, and I think it is good to correct people when they refer to Ukraine incorrectly. However, comparing a (typically accidental) prepended word to slavery makes me recoil from your argument. I think it is similar to &quo

The Glyph looks interesting, but it only shows 1280x720 per eye. I don't really understand how the 'virtual retinal display' will affect the viewing experience, but there are only 2 million pixels total, split between two eye

Wouldn't the value increase once the credits end? The new model of the Leaf will suddenly cost $12,500 more, so demand for used Leafs will skyrocket. That could definitely increase the value of your car.

The real factor is pixels per degree of your vision, not ppi. Viewing distance range with phones and laptops is pretty limited (an arm's length), but with a monitor you can simply move it farther away on the desk to increase the percei

Certainly. One simple example would be a teacher who wanted to share an excerpt with her classroom. Listening to the standard bleeped version on the radio and then accidentally sharing a version with profanity to the students could cause a

It's really interesting to watch this thread. I'm not saying that you should simply trust what the other commenters are saying, but the user crntaylor is the one that originally posted the question, and his solution is that the

But the rental price includes the price of gas. If gas prices tripled tomorrow, Zipcar would have to raise their rates. It's a bit more decoupled for the customer, but it has the same impact overall.

Maybe some sort of strange hash function? It looks like it spreads the values fairly evenly from 0-23, while keeping nearby numbers separate. Here's what it looks like from 0-5: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i

I think it's a mistake to assume the existing sizes and viewing distances will remain the same into the future. Yes 1080p is just fine when the thing you're viewing takes up 10 degrees of your vision. However, as screens get large

You just have to add multiple returns. Just put two hard returns, and the text will appear on the next line. However, you are limited to one break at a time (e.g. you can't put 20 returns in a row to move 10" down the page)
